  • COVID19 reporting and contacts over the Easter holiday

    Fri 26 Mar 2021

    Dear Parents/Carers.

    COVID19 reporting and contacts over the Easter holiday

    Please remember, you need to inform school if your child has tested positive for Covid-19. This is still the case during the Christmas holiday.

    If your child shows symptoms of Covid-19 within 48 hours of last being in school, you should report this to school immediately by emailing enquiries@hallpark.lancs.sch.uk or calling 07709 772831 and leaving a voice mail.  You must seek a test as soon as possible and inform the school of the result, as soon as you receive it, even if the result is negative.  Again, you can do this by emailing enquiries@hallpark.lancs.sch.uk or calling 07709 772831 and leaving a voice mail.

    If your child tests positive for Covid-19 having shown symptoms within 48 hours of last being in school, we need to be informed immediately and one of our team will be on hand to notify any other pupils in your child's bubble and their families so they can self-isolate for ten days.

    It is vital you tell us about positive tests so we can help prevent the spread of coronavirus in our community.  This is particularly important if your child develops symptoms within 48 hours of last being in school.

    If a pupil develops symptoms after 48 hours of last being in school and then tests positive then contact tracing should be picked up by the NHS Test and Trace Service.

    PLEASE NOTE: We ask that you keep us informed, via the school email enquiries@hallpark.lancs.sch.uk, of any positive cases of COVID-19 confirmed during the Easter Holiday.

  • 2019/2020 School Games Virtual Sport Award

    Thu 15 Oct 2020 Mrs Bowker

    In March 2020, school experienced lockdown and was only open for the children of key workers.  However, we continued with a full online offer and, as a school who believes in health and physical well-being, we continued to actively support our children to engage in sport and physical activity.

    Throughout the spring and summer terms we took part in the Spar Lancashire School Games Challenges, and in recognition of this we received the nationally recognised School Games Mark Virtual Award.

    This award highlights our school and our wider communities commitment to competitive school sport through the second half of the 2019-2020 academic year.

    Well done Hall Park!

  • Have you heard about TIME?

    Tue 22 Sep 2020

    The TIME Project

    TIME Extended aims to explore ways of empowering schools to develop and support their arts provision and ways of embedding the arts across the curriculum, to help inspire learning and attain higher levels of academic achievement.

    In 2018/19 Year 6 took part in the project.  In 2019/20 Year 2 and Year 4 took part.

    This year will be our final year of the project and we had worried that the COVID-19 pandemic might mean a delay or even a cancellation.  Thankfully the TIME team are creative and determined people and we have been able to carry on using the wonders of modern technology.  This year, 2020/21, Year 5 and Year 1 are taking part and we are using video conferencing to allow the artists to 'visit' the classes and teach.  Brilliant!

  • GOLD Lancashire Behaviour Award!

    Thu 05 Sep 2019

    In the summer term we also achieved reaccreditation for the Lancashire Behaviour Quality Mark. We were awarded the highest possible achievement by gaining the GOLD reaccreditation in all six areas.

    1.Behaviour policy and procedural frameworks

    2. Attitudes to school and learning

    3. Conduct around school

    4. Safety

    5. Pupil support and intervention systems

    6. Staff support and development

    We wanted to share with you some of the feedback in the written report following the reaccreditation visit as it made us all feel very proud of our children and of our school.

    The children demonstrated excellent behaviour and attitudes. They were confident and mature in their interactions.”

    “Routines were clearly well embedded in the life of the school.”

    “Parental feedback indicates that all respondents believe that their child makes good progress and is taught well. The feedback from parents referenced behaviour often as a key strength of the school from the parents perspective. All parents agreed that the school makes sure that the children are well behaved and that children feel safe in the school.”

    “The children behaved well out of class. They follow routines with little need for direction.”

    “Staff roles at lunchtime are clear and there is support for those children who find unstructured time more challenging.   The children behave well in the dining hall.”

    “Almost all parents responding to the school survey indicated that their child never reports being bullied in school. There are very few concerns raised around bullying in school.”

    “The children's work on the school values supports their development of strong behaviour for learning skills.”

    “The new Family Learning Mentor has introduced a new process using circle time in class to develop  family link sessions. Circle time sessions have been modelled to all staff. A clear evaluation process has been undertaken. The children report that they value this time.”

  • Sainsbury's School Games GOLD Mark 2018/19.

    Thu 05 Sep 2019

    Sport and PE have become a true strength in our school thanks to Miss Kirkham and her talented team.    The sport weeks in the summer term added another opportunity to our sporting calendar and gave children a range of experiences to help them find their sporting talents and I am delighted to share the news that we have, for the fourth year, gained the Sainsbury's School Games GOLD Mark. This award reflects many things to do with our sport provision in school, including:

    • The quantity of high-quality PE lessons our children receive each week;
    • The amount of children participating in extra-curricular sporting activity each week;
    • The support we provide for our talented young sports people and less active children;
    • The number of competitive events we take part in each year.

    We are very proud of this award, coming at the end of the year during which we were awarded the Fylde Sports Awards Primary School of the Year.
