Lytham Hall Park Primary School

Discamus As Vivendum, Let’s Learn to Live

Welcome to Lytham Hall Park Primary School

Hall Park is a happy and busy community primary school for children between the ages of four and eleven years. We are a two form entry primary school with an admission number of 60 pupils each year. This means each year group has two classes with  up to 30 children in each class. We are a popular school and we are proud of the excellent reputation we have in our local community.  Our school is housed in a modern building with semi-open plan style classrooms and beautiful grounds which we use regularly. We have a forest school onsite which is led by a member of our team.

In 2014, a significant building project was completed which  provided us with six new classrooms and a purpose built assembly hall large enough to accommodate our whole school family. In recent years, we have refurbished all other areas of school to ensure all our children enjoy classrooms which are light and bright.

Our school has a unique family ethos which remains at the heart of our success with visitors often commenting on the calm, friendly and nurturing atmosphere.  We have established a strong, values based ethos and this is the ethos we would ask everyone who joins our school to embrace – we are a caring school where every child and every family truly do matter to us.  We welcome innovation but also place great value in the traditional elements of school life – good manners, perseverance and hardworking attitudes.  Important qualities in creating a calm and supportive environment.

There is much to be proud of within Lytham Hall Park but also an appetite to continue to grow and improve.   We have a staff team who endeavour to create in our children a true love of learning.  Our most recent (January 2018) OFSTED report states, ‘Pupils’ positive attitudes towards learning contribute effectively to the progress that they make. They are polite, courteous and confident.’

We pride ourselves in offering a curriculum which is creative, challenging and engaging; a curriculum which follows the requirements of the National Curriculum in all areas and is clearly differentiated to meet the individual needs of all pupils, and we recognise that there are times when every child may need extra support to ensure they reach their true potential.  We want our children to care for themselves and for others, to have enquiring minds and discover the talents and abilities that are special to them.

Our school motto - “Discamus As Vivendum, Let’s Learn to Live'  encapsulates the attitudes for which we strive, ensuring our children grow into young adults who see learning as an exciting and integral part of their daily lives.
